Welcome to The Scojo List! Today I present you my Top 5 Medical cannabis videos for the day. In full disclosure, I have never been benefited from medical cannabis. I’ve tried cannabis oil, I’ve tried THC cannabis strains to get rid of headaches, I’ve tried CBD marijuana strains to see if they’d help my kayaker’s elbow. I don’t notice any major difference. But I’ve also never played Lacrosse, and I know that it exists because there is evidence all around me and I’d be blind or intentionally ignorant to pretend it doesn’t exist. After many years in the cannabis industry, THIS is why I want us to legalize marijuana. Recreational cannabis is great, but it being illegal never really affected my ability to get my hands on it. Medical marijuana is not a miracle drug, but it’s head and shoulders above the opioid crisis we are experiencing.
So let me tell you about Larry. Larry is a man suffering from Parkinson’s Disease who they made a documentary about because of the amazing results he was encountering. I’m going to share the basic climax of the movie with you now, so I hope that the makers of the documentary about him don’t get upset. In this video, Larry ingests some cannabis oil in a state that does not allow medical marijuana. The results are amazing, but I’ll let you see for yourself.

Since I’m introducing you to medical cannabis benefactors, I might as well introduce you to the person that introduced me to medical marijuana in a way that I could truly connect with. Charlotte Figi is now 10 years old. She spent her early years having hundreds, if not thousands of seizures that rendered her incapable of normal childhood development. “Charlotte’s Web” was developed in 2011 by the Stanley brothers (Joel, Jesse, Jon, Jordan, Jared and Josh[20]) through crossbreeding a strain of marijuana with industrial hemp. Okay, so now I hear some of you asking, “I’ve heard a lot about CBD, but I’ve also heard that not all CBD is the same. That is true. There are basically two types 1) Hemp based CBD; and 2) Cannabis based CBD. Hemp CBD often times turns people off to CBD because for many people it doesn’t work. But there’s a reason for that. Chemically they are the same, but through a thing called The Entourage Effect, CBD that is derived from the female plant brings with it chemicals that hemp CBD’s do not contain. Strong research these days is proving that these other chemicals (terpenes, etc) are what truly make the CBD’s the most effective. Not only uses, but the fact that medical cannabis may just be a CURE for some forms of cancer! Yeah, no shit! In this video from CNN and their medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta, we get a look at a 7 year old that is using medical marijuana in the form of cannabis oil to treat her cancer and while there is no proof (yet), she is now in remission!

Finally, no discussion of medical marijuana would be complete without talking about medical marijuana and PTSD. I have a soft spot in my heart for fellow Americans that had to face horrors I can only imagine, and are now suffering for coming to my defense, so that I could lead a happy life, and bring you this blog! PTSD and cannabis have history. Our friends at Leafly have a great article worth checking out. But I’m a right brained learner, and so I like video that SHOWS me what’s happening. Enjoy.
